from the official exam guide, which remains the authoritative reference — read it in full before
scheduling.

Sit CCAR-F
Claude Certified Architect – Foundations is the credential Gnar is working toward. It earns Services Track
credit and it is the shortest step from the four CPN courses everyone is already expected to
complete. If you are picking one exam, this is the one — the others on this page are context
for that decision rather than alternatives to weigh equally.
CCAR-F
Claude Certified Architect – Foundations
the one to sit
The ideal candidate for this certification is a solution architect who designs and implements production applications with Claude.

Also earn credit, and are not the target
CCDV-F and CCAR-P count toward the same Services Track
headcount, so a pass here is not wasted.
They are the right choice when someone's role genuinely points at them, and the wrong
default: CCAR-F is the target, and spreading a small group across three exams is
how a headcount target gets missed.
CCDV-F
Claude Certified Developer – Foundations
also earns credit
The certification is intended for technical professionals who build, integrate, and ship production-grade AI solutions using large language models (LLMs), particularly Anthropic's Claude platform.

Not to be sat
Anthropic publishes 4 Claude credentials. CCAO-F is a real certification but earns
no Services Track credit, so it does nothing for
Gnar's partner tier. The full blueprint is here so the comparison can be made against the
facts — but there is no practice bank and no study guide, and that is deliberate.
CCAO-F
Claude Certified Associate – Foundations
no tier credit
The certification is intended for professionals who use Claude as a productivity tool and build Claude Projects in their day-to-day roles.
- Exam
- 60 items · 120 min
- Fee
- $99
- Passing score
- 720 of 1000

- 7 domains
CCAO-F does not count toward Gnar's certified-individual headcount. Not one to sit.

How practice runs work
- Drill
- 20 items · untimed · marked as you answer
Each answer is graded immediately, with the correct option, the reason it is correct, and
the named reasoning error behind the option you chose.
- Simulation
- 60 items · 120 min · graded at the end
The published exam form and time limit. Nothing is marked until you finish, then you get
percent-correct by domain and by task statement, and an item-by-item review.
Every incorrect option in the bank is tagged with one of five recurring
reasoning errors, so a run reports which one you make most often and can drill it. See the five categories — that
taxonomy is ours, not Anthropic's.
Scoring and sourcing
Practice runs report percent-correct on original items. The passing score is scaled from a
standard-setting study against the real item pool, so no practice percentage converts into it,
and nothing here predicts a pass.
Every practice item is written against the objectives published in the exam guides. None is
transcribed or reconstructed from a real exam, which would breach the certification agreement.
Exam guides are subject to change without notice. Re-verify each exam cycle; the guide is the
authority over anything shown here.
